The normal pattern of Sunday services at St Mary's is as follows (please note the exceptions listed at the end):

8:00am Holy Communion:
A said service, lasting about half an hour, using the Book of Common Prayer in traditional language.

9:30am 'Living Faith' Holy Communion:
Our main parish celebration, a sung service in contemporary language, lasting about an hour.

10:30 Meeting point:
Fairly traded coffee, tea, cold drinks and biscuits. A time for everyone to meet for a chat in the Parish Centre.

11:00 'Sharing Life' worship (not in summer holidays):
Informal worship for adults and children: music, bible readings and prayer, incorporating children's activities, lasting about 45 minutes. Usually in the Parish Centre upper room, occasionally in church. Please join us at Meeting Point beforehand, for refreshments.

Exceptions

The days on which the normal pattern is not followed are listed below. Please check the What's On page for details of services on these days.

  • Sharing Life stops for the summer break. Sharing Life restarts at 11:00am on 5th September.
  • 19th September 2010, Harvest Festival - there will be one united celebration service at 10:00am.
  • 14th November 2010, Remembrance Sunday - the 9:30 and 11:00am services will be replaced by one service of remembrance at 10:30am.

On major festival days we hold a single celebration service of Holy Communion for our whole family, in church, with children's activities.
